Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. The signed-in account: status, the plan and its limits (everything is free during the beta), keys and key revocation, and deletion.
Not needed during the beta: everything is free and there is no paid plan to choose.
What to do: `status` (default: who is signed in, the free plan and its limits, keys), `plan` (the plan and its limits — everything is free during the beta), `keys` (list keys by prefix), `revoke_key` (with `key_prefix`), `delete` (a confirmation link the user must open).
The `session` value the sign-in returned. Pass it on every call in this conversation, so the sign-in survives however this client handles connections; omit it when the user connected with Sign in (OAuth) or a key.
With action=`revoke_key`: the key prefix from action=`keys`.

}Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. Is this act in force (galioja), and which consolidated version (suvestinė redakcija) governed on a given date. Pass on_date to ask about the past (įsigaliojimo data). Name the act with ONE of: `document_id` (the `id` of a search hit; an article id with `#` answers about its act) or `act_number` (the register number `XII-2603`, or a code abbreviation `DK`, `CK`). An act you know only by its title: search_law first and take the id. Validity is a property of the act, not of an article: for an article's wording on a date use read_paragraphs with `on_date`, for what changed use compare_provision_versions. A validity answer does not verify a quotation; use verify_citation for that. Example arguments: {"act_number": "DK", "on_date": "2024-01-15"}.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| on_date | any | The date to test, `YYYY-MM-DD` - what governed THEN rather than now. Omit for today. The parameter is `on_date`: `as_of` and `date` are ignored. |
| session | string | The `session` value the sign-in returned. Pass it on every call in this conversation, so the sign-in survives however this client handles connections; omit it when the user connected with Sign in (OAuth) or a key. |
| act_number | any | Alternative to `document_id`: the act's official number as the register writes it, e.g. `XIII-2221`, or a code abbreviation the map knows (`DK`, `CK`, `CPK`). A number, never a title or an article (`DK 58` is the act `DK`; ask the article with read_paragraphs). One of the two is required. |
| document_id | any |
Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. What this document relies on (cituoja): the acts (įstatymai) and earlier rulings (nutartys) it cites, with the text of each citation so you can check it.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| limit | integer | How many edges to return, default 25. Read `provisions_total` beside the answer before concluding something is absent: the returned set is a slice, not the population. |
| detail | string | `compact` (the default) keeps each edge's identity, pinpoint, court and date whole and cuts `quote` (the citing sentence) to ~300 characters, with `quote_chars` giving its full length. `full` returns every quote whole. |
| session | string | The `session` value the sign-in returned. Pass it on every call in this conversation, so the sign-in survives however this client handles connections; omit it when the user connected with Sign in (OAuth) or a key. |
| max_chars | any | A hard cap on the answer's size in characters, default 15000. Every row is first narrowed (a ~150-character excerpt), then rows are dropped from the end (the lowest-ranked) to fit, and `truncated` says how many and how to get them; data_as_of, notes and caveats are never cut. |
| document_id* | string | Whose citations to list. An ARTICLE id (the search hit `id`, containing `#`) asks what that article relies on; a document id asks about the whole document. There is no `pinpoint` parameter - the article is named by the id. |
Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. The citator (citavimo grafas): what has cited this provision (straipsnis) or ruling (nutartis) since: a reverse lookup that full-text search cannot do. Name the subject in ONE of three ways: a ruling by `case_no` (`e3K-3-117-823/2023`); a provision by `act_number` + `pinpoint` (`act_number='CK', pinpoint='6.217'`); or any search hit by its `document_id` (an article id with `#` needs no pinpoint). A citation string is not a parameter: split it into those parts. These are citations, not endorsements: whether the citing court agreed is not recorded. For citations this document itself makes, use citations_of instead. Example arguments: {"act_number": "CK", "pinpoint": "6.217", "limit": 10}.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| limit | integer | How many citing edges to return, default 25. `rulings_total` beside the answer is the number of distinct judgments behind it - quote that, not this. |
| detail | string | `compact` (the default) keeps each citing edge's identity, pinpoint, court and date whole and cuts `quote` (the citing sentence) to ~300 characters, with `quote_chars` giving its full length. `full` returns every quote whole. |
| case_no | any | The citator for rulings: pass the case number (e.g. `e3K-3-117-823/2023`) to list later judgments that cite it. Returns only citations strictly after the source decision date (`later_than`). Omit when you already have `document_id`. |
| session | string | The `session` value the sign-in returned. Pass it on every call in this conversation, so the sign-in survives however this client handles connections; omit it when the user connected with Sign in (OAuth) or a key. |
Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. What changed in an act (or one article) between two dates: the version in force on from_date (the baseline) against the one on to_date, and every change that took effect in between, each with its own įsigaliojimo data. Any window works. Returns version metadata and register links. With `article`, held editions also supply its wording on both dates and a word-level redline; missing wording is reported as not held, never reconstructed from register notes.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| article | any | Optional article (`1.125`, `57`, or `58 str. 3 d. 4 p.` for one point): its wording on both dates and a word-level redline (`[-deleted-]`, `{+inserted+}`) where the act's editions are held, plus its own changes in the window from the register's notes. |
| session | string | The `session` value the sign-in returned. Pass it on every call in this conversation, so the sign-in survives however this client handles connections; omit it when the user connected with Sign in (OAuth) or a key. |
| to_date* | string | The later date, `YYYY-MM-DD` (today, say). Must be on or after from_date. |
| from_date* | string | The earlier date, `YYYY-MM-DD` (a contract date, say). The version in force on it is the baseline; any date works. |
| act_number | any |
Sign in to Avokata with the user's email and language: free, one email, no password. Required for every tool except whoami and describe (shared 0.61.0). One email goes out with a Confirm link and a six-digit code; then call connect_verify(request_id) right away - it waits for the click.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| firm | any | Optional, and never worth asking a user for: the firm or organisation, if it was already mentioned. |
| any | The user's email: every tool except whoami and describe needs a signed-in account (free, one email). One message goes out with a Confirm link and a six-digit code; finish with `connect_verify`. | |
| language | any | The user's language for the sign-in email, as a tag (`lt`, `en`, `de`, `fr`, `es`, `pl`). Pass the language the user writes in; unknown tags fall back to English. |

}Finish signing in after connect(email). The person must review the linked terms and tick the acknowledgement on their email confirmation page themselves. Never accept for them. Then call with request_id and no code, or the code they read you. A terms_acknowledgement_required state needs that human action; do not keep retrying. Also takes a key the user already holds (api_key) to use that account here.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| code | any | The six-digit code from the email, only if the user reads it to you instead of clicking Confirm. |
| api_key | any | A key the user already holds (`avk_...`, or an earlier `dic_...`), to use that account in this conversation. Not needed after an email sign-in. |

Call it before telling a user that nothing exists on a topic.

}Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. For multi-step work, find a proposed method to compare with existing practice: checking whether a ruling or a provision still holds, a memo with sources, a matter digest, procedure and deadlines, what an article said on a date. The user's own workflows first, then Avokata's. Returns the best matches with why they fit, or that none fits and how to write one. Shipped plans are builder drafts, not professionally validated. Use, adapt, supplement or skip; a single lookup needs no setup. Cheap: no search is run.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| task* | string | The work you are about to do, in a sentence - in the user's words; Lithuanian matches best (`ar dar galiu remtis šia nutartimi`, `atmintinė su šaltiniais`). |

A document's identity and its table of contents (turinys), WITHOUT its text. Call this before reading: the Civil Code (Civilinis kodeksas) runs to 1.7 million characters. Ids come from search results (įstatymas or nutartis). An ECHR id (`coe.hudoc:`) or application number gives the case's catalogue card: Avokata holds no ECHR text - read it at `text_availability.where` (HUDOC).

}Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. Open one workflow as a PLAN bound to the task: the ordered tool calls with the act number, case number or date from `task` filled in and every other slot left open, the principles and what the result looks like. Sizes cover the complete JSON payload; the 2,000-character target is advisory and safeguards are never cut. Compare with existing instructions: use, adapt, supplement or skip. You run applicable steps yourself. Pass the `workflow_id` returned by find_workflow or list_workflows: `task` binds the plan's slots and does not replace that id. `detail='full'` adds prose; follow any explicit conditional full-read requirement. Example arguments: {"workflow_id": "provision-history", "task": "CK 6.217, 2024-01-15", "detail": "plan"}.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| task | any | The user's task in a sentence. Exact identifiers in it (an act number `XII-2603`, a case number `e3K-3-105-684/2019`, a date `2021-03-01`) are filled into the plan's slots; every other slot stays open for you to fill. |
| detail | string | `plan` (default): calls, essential checks and outputs; complete JSON character/UTF-8 byte sizes are reported. The 2,000-character target is advisory, with over_target rather than cut safeguards. `full` adds explanation; follow any explicit conditional full-read requirement. |

EVERY held ruling (nutartis) matching structured filters - court level (teismo instancija), court, date range, topic, case type - newest first, with the exact total and counts by level and year, page by page to the end (`next_cursor`). Use it when the job is 'all of them': all regional labour rulings since a date, every Constitutional Court ruling of a year. Every row says the ruling's outcome (granted, dismissed, partly, remanded...) with its operative words; `outcome` lists only the rulings decided that way. search_practice RANKS passages by a question and stops at a limit; this lists. At least one filter is required.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| limit | integer | Rulings per page, default 50, at most 200. Every page states the exact total. |
| topic | any | A branch of the courts' own case classifier, e.g. `labour`. Rulings with no topical code cannot be judged by it; the answer counts them under `withheld`. |
| courts | any | Named courts, written as the court names itself, e.g. `Vilniaus apygardos teismas`. |
| cursor | any | The `next_cursor` of the previous page, with the same filters. Omit for the first page. |
| include | any | Bring back what is left out by default, e.g. `cassation_admission` (the Supreme Court's rulings on whether to accept an appeal). |

Messages from the Avokata team to this person: replies to their feedback, questions about it, service notices and news about the tools they use. action='list' shows the inbox; 'read' with id opens one message and marks it read; 'reply' with id and body answers a message that invites a reply (it goes into the same feedback thread); 'dismiss' or 'snooze' (hours) puts one away; 'settings' shows or changes email notice. When an answer carries a `notifications` block with unread messages, tell the person in one sentence and offer to open them; their task comes first. | session | string | The `session` value the sign-in returned. Pass it on every call in this conversation, so the sign-in survives however this client handles connections; omit it when the user connected with Sign in (OAuth) or a key. |
Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. Read a document by its own structure: give a pinpoint (straipsnis) like '6.38' for one article, or from_unit and count to page through it. On a ruling (nutartis / sprendimas), pass ruling_part=disposition to read only the operative order (rezoliucinė dalis). Never by character offset (read_source_text reads the publisher's text that way, without our structure). `document_id` is required and comes from a result: a search hit's `id` (an article id with `#` opens at that article) or `document.id`; a case number or an act number is not an id (find it with search_practice / search_law first). Page size is `count`; there is no `limit` or `max_chars` here. `paragraphs` contain the served text; inspect its `version`/`wording` qualifications before calling it current law. `on_date` requests separate `wording_on_date`, whose held/composed/missing evidence must support any historical claim. A # unit or pinpoint overrides `from_unit`. For whole-document paging, continue an unfiltered read as shown below. ECHR cases (`coe.hudoc:`) have no paragraphs here: the answer is the case card and its HUDOC link. Example arguments: {"document_id": "<document_id from search result>", "pinpoint": "6.217", "count": 1, "on_date": "2024-01-15"}. Replace the first bracketed document_id with the id returned by your search. To continue an unfiltered read, use its response document_id without a # fragment, set from_unit to its next_from_unit, omit pinpoint/article, and keep other filters. A next_from_unit from a pinpoint-filtered read is not a whole-document offset. Continuation arguments: {"document_id": "<document_id from previous read>", "from_unit": 14, "count": 3, "on_date": "2024-01-15"}.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| lang | any | Which language version to read, as a two-letter code (`lt`, `en`, `fr`), for a document held in several languages; `<id>@en` in `document_id` does the same. Omit for the default version: Lithuanian where held, else the source language. Pinpoints are the same in every language; the answer names the language served and the others held. |
Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. The document's text exactly as the publisher published it (šaltinio tekstas), paged by character offset, with none of our sections, voice labels or units: the source our structure is built on. Read it to check us when a read's `structure_check` says `verify`, when a section or speaker label looks wrong, or before you rely on whose words a passage is. Each page gives the publisher's link, the text's sha256, how the text is held (`raw_basis`) and the units of ours it overlaps (`units_here`), so you can cross-check our structure. Continue with `next_from_char`. If our structure is wrong, say so: submit_feedback(kind='structure'). ECHR cases (`coe.hudoc:`) have no text here: the answer says so and gives the HUDOC link. Example arguments: {"document_id": "<document_id or unit id from a result>", "from_char": 0, "max_chars": 6000}.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| on_date | any | On an act: `YYYY-MM-DD` reads the held edition in force that day (its own text, link and dates). Omit for the current text. Rulings have one text. |
| session | string | The `session` value the sign-in returned. Pass it on every call in this conversation, so the sign-in survives however this client handles connections; omit it when the user connected with Sign in (OAuth) or a key. |
| from_char | any | Character offset to start at, 0 for the top; continue with the previous page's `next_from_char`. A read's `structure_check.raw.args` gives the offsets of the span it served. |
| max_chars | any |
Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. Find the statutory provision (teisės akto straipsnis) that governs a question. PASS THE QUERY IN THE LANGUAGE THE LAW IS WRITTEN IN. Lithuanian law: in Lithuanian. An English query is not translated for you and does not work - measured 2026-08-28 on 23 questions a lawyer had answered from the corpus, Lithuanian found the confirmed article for 10 of them and English for 0, and the English attempts did not come back empty, they came back wrong. If the user writes in another language, translate INTO Lithuanian and use the term of art a Lithuanian lawyer would type: ieškinio senaties terminas, darbo sutarties nutraukimas, nuomos sutartis, servitutas, juridinio asmens pertvarkymas. EU and international acts: Lithuanian where a Lithuanian text is held, else the source language; every result says its `lang`, and a translation you give the user is labelled as yours with its source. Searches acts and codes (įstatymai ir kodeksai) in the consolidated version in force now. Returns pinpoints (article numbers), not summaries. Follow up with read_paragraphs to read the text, or cited_by to see how the courts have read it. `jurisdictions` accepts several for a matter that spans countries. **`codes` names the code the question belongs to (CPK, BPK, ABTĮ, CK, DK) and you should pass it for anything PROCEDURAL.** Every procedural code has articles with the same headings, different numbers and different time limits, so an answer from the wrong one looks exactly like an answer from the right one: measured 2026-08-28, four of ten procedural questions returned their top hit from the wrong code, including a civil cassation deadline answered from the criminal procedure code. `jurisdictions` selects the law's scope, not the user's language; there is no separate language argument. For an article's wording on a past date, find its id here and use read_paragraphs with `on_date`. The complete search answer obeys max_chars; response_budget identifies deferred metadata and its recovery. Example arguments: {"query": "ieškinio senaties terminas", "jurisdictions": ["LT"], "codes": ["CK"], "limit": 5}.

Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. Find court practice (teismų praktika) on a legal question or a provision - rulings and judgments (nutartys ir sprendimai) as the courts published them. PASS THE QUERY IN THE LANGUAGE THE COURT WRITES IN, for the same measured reason as search_law: Lithuanian courts in Lithuanian (an English query returns unrelated results rather than none); a European court's judgments in Lithuanian where held, else the source language; every result says its `lang`. Use the terms the courts use - kasacinis skundas, apeliacinis skundas, ieškinys, nutartis. Filter by court or `court_level` (the top court for the question's case type leads: LAT for civil, labour and criminal, LVAT for administrative and tax), by the provision the rulings cite (`cites`, `cites_none`), by whose words (`voice='court'`), by decision date, by case type (`civil`, `criminal`, `administrative`, `administrative_offence`) or by the court's own category code, where `43.5` narrows to that branch of the taxonomy. There is NO way to search by the name of a party: rulings are served as the courts published them, anonymised, and this tool takes no name. Each result names its ruling under `document` (`case_no`, `court`, `decided_at`, `url`; `cite_as` says how to cite one without a case number); a compact answer keeps `document.id` and `document.case_no` on the row and the rest under `documents[<document.id>]`. At tight caps, secondary identifiers, links or explanations may be explicitly deferred; follow response_budget.recover. A question about the European Human Rights Court (EŽTT/ECHR) also gets `echr_catalogue`: the Court's case cards (metadata and the HUDOC link), never a judgment's text.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| cites | any | Keep only rulings that cite this provision (all of them, when a list), through the citation graph: `DK 58`, `DK 58 str. 2 d.`, `CK 3.192¹`. Anchors practice on a provision - `dėl darbuotojo kaltės` with cites=`DK 58` is dismissal for fault, not DK 57's without fault. |
Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. Send feedback about Avokata to the team that builds it: a bug, a wrong answer, missing data, a missing feature, a workflow idea, or praise. Every item is read by a person. When to offer it: an answer came back empty or wrong; the user corrected you or the result; a workflow was missing a step the user needed; the user repeats a manual step the service could do for them; the user says they need something the service does not do. Offer once, in one sentence; the user's task comes first. Ask first. Show the user what you will send and send it only after they agree. Their own words, and any client, case, company or personal detail, go only with their explicit OK; then set confirmed=true. With authored_by='agent' you may report your own observation of the service (the tool, what you expected, what came back) without asking, as long as it holds none of the user's words or confidential content. Fill kind and what (the task, and what went wrong or what is needed). For a wrong answer add expected and got. Add tool and query for context (the query only with the user's OK), severity, and contact_email only when the user wants a reply. Length: what up to 50,000 characters; expected and got up to 20,000 each; query up to 5,000; 80,000 for one item in all. A detailed analysis with context, evidence and proposals is welcome in one item; longer than that, send numbered parts (1/n, 2/n ...), each a complete item. The reply carries a reference id. Tell the user it reached the team; do not promise a reply or a date.
| Argument | Type | Description |

| kind* | string | One of: bug (something failed or errored), wrong_answer (an answer was returned but it was wrong or misleading), missing_data (a document, record or source the user expected is not covered), missing_feature (something the user needs that the service does not do), workflow_idea (a step, sequence or repeated manual task the service could handle), structure (how a document was divided or labelled is wrong (its sections, whose words a passage is, numbering)), praise (something that worked well and should be kept), other (anything else); give document_id and span with kind='structure' |
Sign-in required: call connect(email) and connect_verify first (free, one email) unless this connection is already signed in. Check a citation SOMEBODY ELSE produced - a model, an opposing brief, a draft memo. Answers three questions separately and never merges them: does the provision (straipsnis) or the case (byla / nutartis) exist, does it actually say the sentence attributed to it (pass `quote`), and is the act still in force (galioja). A case this corpus does not hold is reported as not held, never as non-existent. ONE citation per call, as written: `CK 6.217 str. 2 d.`, `XII-2603 58 str.`, `e3K-3-105-684/2019, 40 p.`; for a list, call once per citation. An act without an article (`XII-2603` alone) is not a pinpoint: the answer names the act and how to read the article. Pass `on_date` for the relevant date and copy the attributed sentence into `quote`; without a quote this does not check the sentence somebody wrote. Missing dated wording is not confirmation. Example arguments: {"citation": "CK 6.217 str. 2 d.", "on_date": "2024-01-15"}.
| Argument | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| quote | any | The sentence the draft attributes to that provision. Supplying it turns 'does this provision exist' into 'does it say this', which is the question worth asking. On a ruling the answer lists EVERY place the sentence is found (`matches`), each with whose words it is (`voice`: the court's own, a party's argument the court recounts, a lower court's, an institution's, or an earlier ruling the court restates; `mixed` with `fragments` when the sentence runs across speakers), and near-identical wording elsewhere in the ruling (`similar_passages`). A quote not found word for word but at least 0.7 similar is `found_paraphrased`, with both texts side by side; the closest match always says whose words it is, and `headline` says first when they are not the court's. A cited paragraph that differs from where the text is (`40 p.` vs `39 p.`) is named in `cited_vs_found`. On an act, `quote` is graded: `found` (word for word), `paraphrase_supported` (the provision says this in other words: quote `quote_match.passage`, not the paraphrase) or `not_found_in_provision` (with `quote_differs_in` when a number or a negation is what differs). |

}| count | integer | How many paragraphs to return, default 5. The Civil Code runs to 1.7 million characters, so read in pages rather than asking for everything. |
| voice | any | On a ruling only: return only the paragraphs in this voice - `court` (the court alone speaking, including its restatements of earlier rulings; `court_own` without them; `court_interpretation` its interpretation only), `party` (a party's argument or the question its appeal raises), `lower_court`, `institution`, `opinion`, or one voice name. Every paragraph of a ruling carries `voice` either way; a paragraph with more than one speaker is `mixed`, with each fragment's voice. |
| article | any | Jump to an article by its number alone: `57`, `6.217`. Same effect as `pinpoint` with less typing — pass one or the other, not both naming different articles. |
| on_date | any | On an act's article: `YYYY-MM-DD` requests separate `wording_on_date`, with its edition window, link and held/composed/missing qualification. Passing the date does not make `paragraphs` historical: they contain the text served by this read. Inspect `version` and `wording` qualifications before treating that text as current law. Use the separate dated result only to the extent its evidence supports it. |
| section | any | On a ruling only: the numbered section(s) the court prints - `IV` for section IV, `IV+` (or `nuo IV`) for it and every later one. Combines with ruling_part: ruling_part=`reasoning`, section=`IV+` reads only the court's reasoning from section IV on, in one call. |

Continue an unfiltered read with `next_from_unit`; that value from a pinpoint-filtered read is not a whole-document offset. There is no cursor. |
| document_id* | string | What to read: the `id` of a search hit - an article id (containing `#`) opens at that article and reads on - or the whole document's id to start at the top. |
| ruling_part | any | On a ruling only: return paragraphs from one section — `recital` (case history and parties' arguments under nustatė), `reasoning` (konstatuoja) or `disposition` (nutaria — the operative order). Omit for statutes. |

| query* | string | The legal question or the provision, in the language the courts write in: IN LITHUANIAN for Lithuanian courts, in the words they use - `kasacinis skundas`, `esminis pažeidimas`; for a European court's judgments, Lithuanian where a Lithuanian text exists, else the source language. There is NO way to search by the name of a party, and no parameter takes one. |
| topic | any | Narrow to a branch of the courts' own case classifier: `labour` (disputes arising from employment relations). The accepted values come from the jurisdiction's configuration. |
| voice | any | Whose words to return. `court`: passages in which the court alone speaks (its interpretation, the facts it established, a statute or an earlier ruling it restates - each restatement names the ruling and its paragraph); a mixed paragraph with a party's words in it is left out. Ranked with the court's interpretation before a restated statute. `court_own` also leaves out restatements of earlier rulings, `court_interpretation` keeps only the court's interpretation. `voice_filter` says how many passages the filter removed, per voice. `party` the parties' arguments and the questions their appeals raise, `lower_court` a lower court's reasoning, `institution` the challenged decision of an authority, `opinion` a prosecutor's or Advocate General's opinion, or one voice name (`pretrial_body`, `mixed`, ...). Every passage carries `voice` either way, with how it was decided (`provenance`). |
| courts | any | Filter to named courts, written as the court names itself: `Lietuvos Aukščiausiasis Teismas`, `Lietuvos apeliacinis teismas`, `Lietuvos vyriausiasis administracinis teismas`. |
| detail | string | `compact` (the default) returns each passage with its pinpoint and a ~250-character excerpt around your terms, plus `text_chars`; read the whole text with read_paragraphs(document_id=<row id>). `full` returns the whole text of every row. |
| include | any | Bring back what is left out by default: `cassation_admission` returns the Supreme Court's rulings on whether to accept a cassation appeal (eCIK, CIK, BIK, ATIK numbers), which answer an admission question rather than the legal one. The answer's `filters_applied` says what was left out. |
| outcome | any | Keep rulings whose operative part (nutaria / nusprendžia) decides this way: `granted`, `partly`, `dismissed`, `remanded`, `not_admitted`, `terminated`; for constitutional review `unconstitutional`, `partly_unconstitutional`, `constitutional` (one or several). Read from the ruling's own words, never a court-published field; on appeal and cassation it is the appeal's fate (`dismissed` = the decision under appeal left unchanged). With `cites` every cited ruling is judged before ranking; otherwise only the ranked passages' rulings, and `outcome_filter` says so. Each kept passage carries `outcome`. |
| session | string | The `session` value the sign-in returned. Pass it on every call in this conversation, so the sign-in survives however this client handles connections; omit it when the user connected with Sign in (OAuth) or a key. |
| category | any | The court's own category code, where a prefix narrows to a branch of its taxonomy - `43.5` is everything under 43.5. |
| cites_any | any | Keep rulings that cite at least one of these provisions: [`DK 58`, `DK 57`]. |
| max_chars | any | A hard cap on the answer's size in characters, default 15000. Every row is first narrowed (a ~150-character excerpt), then rows are dropped from the end (the lowest-ranked) to fit, and `truncated` says how many and how to get them; data_as_of, notes and caveats are never cut. |
| case_types | any | Filter by kind of case: `civil`, `criminal`, `administrative`, `administrative_offence`. |
| cites_none | any | Leave out rulings that cite any of these provisions: cites_none=`DK 57` drops dismissal-without-fault practice. |
| court_level | any | Narrow to a level of the court hierarchy, which depends on the case type: civil (incl. labour, family) and criminal - `supreme` (LAT) > `appeal` (LApT) > `regional` > `district`; administrative (incl. tax) - `supreme_administrative` (LVAT) > `regional_administrative`; `constitutional` above both. Without it, a question whose words name the branch ranks that branch's top court first; a question that names neither ranks both top courts first. |
| decided_after | any | Only rulings decided on or after this date, `YYYY-MM-DD`. The usual reason to pass it is 'what has been said recently', not 'what governed then'. |
| jurisdictions | any | Which jurisdictions to search, as codes (`LT`). Omit for the account's own. |

On an act, `quote` is graded: `found` (word for word), `paraphrase_supported` (the provision says this in other words: quote `quote_match.passage`, not the paraphrase) or `not_found_in_provision` (with `quote_differs_in` when a number or a negation is what differs)."
