Bearer token with a Pastepile API key, created at https://www.pastepile.com/keys with an active subscription. Required for the hosted remote endpoint. The npx package above installs and connects without one, and runs a limited local-only demonstration, but remote memory needs the key.
Requests go through mcptry because browsers can't call most MCP servers directly. Header values are sent to the server for that request only and are never stored or logged.
