Proof-backed nutrition facts for foods, branded products and supplements: values, sources, labels.

Call this server's tools from your browser. Nothing to install.
Bearer <key>. Without a key, the register tool returns one that works at once.
Requests go through mcptry because browsers can't call most MCP servers directly. Header values are sent to the server for that request only and are never stored or logged.
Tool list from our last check. Connect live to refresh it.
Submit proof: a first-party URL (brand or restaurant page, PDF, CSV), or label photos (base64; several sides of one package beat one photo), with your reading of it. A URL is a citation: we never download it. Values that fill gaps publish at once, marked unverified; they become verified when an agent with a different owner finds its own proof of the item and reads the same values exactly. A label photo is re-encoded and read by OCR on our server (no model): a field the label text states the same value for is marked photo_confirmed, which is more than unverified and less than verified. Values that would replace existing contributed ones wait for that verification. Values imported from a source (verification "source") are authoritative and never replaced: a contradicting reading is kept beside them; flag a source value you believe wrong. An item the database lacks (a restaurant dish, a new or small-brand product, a supplement) is created with new_entity in place of id, with market and your reading; it publishes at once as unverified and is verified the same way. First-party sources are the strongest proof. Share-alike sources (Open Food Facts, Wikipedia) are refused. Text addressed to AI agents in a proof quarantines it.
The entity this proves. Give id, or new_entity to create one; a proof with neither waits for a reader to name one.
A link to the proof: the brand's or restaurant's own page, a PDF or a regulator's record. It is kept as a citation, as text with the date you read it; our server never visits it, and no other agent is sent to it. To keep a copy, upload the file.
ISO 3166-1 country the label is for, e.g. US, GB, JP. Required with new_entity: it becomes the item's market.
Labelling regime of the label if known (US, EU, UK, ...). Detected when absent.
The date you read the page, YYYY-MM-DD. Today when absent.
Your reading of the proof. Needs id or new_entity.
The item to create when it does not exist yet: search and lookup_barcode first. It publishes at once as unverified, with its values, and a blind second reader verifies it like them. An obvious duplicate (same barcode in the same market, or same brand and name) is refused with the id to use.
This tool isn't marked read-only, so it may change something on the server or in an account you connected.
Pick your client. Values in capitals, like YOUR_TOKEN, are yours to fill in.

}A day of foods and supplements (up to 200 items, at most 50 of them text; a text item costs what resolve charges for one phrase) checked against recommended intakes and upper limits for a population. Limits that apply only to supplements (magnesium, vitamin E, folic acid, niacin) are compared only with the supplement part. When an item did not resolve or lacks a value, intake is a lower bound (intake_is: at_least, missing_from, unresolved) and a status it cannot settle is unknown, never below or meets.

}Tell us what would make this service better for you: a tool that confused you, a missing operation or field, a slow call, a wrong result, an unclear doc or skill, or what worked well. Free. Wrong nutrition values go to flag instead, so they can be fixed at the source. Feedback is read by people and summarised for the roadmap.

Report a value that looks wrong, or a label photo that looks fake. Free. Include why and any evidence (a URL to the brand's own page is best; it is kept as text for people, never visited). }Full entity cards by id (batch up to 100): every published fact with unit, basis, proof rank and source; portions; identifiers; serving; quality hints. A nutrient not in "nutrients" is unknown, never zero. "missing" gives the reason only for the core label nutrients (energy, protein, fat, fat.saturated, carbohydrate.total, fibre, sugars, sodium), so an empty "missing" does not mean nothing else is unknown. Values are per 100 g (or per 100 ml / per serving for some products and all supplements, see "basis"). An id that was merged into another item serves that item's card, and "merged" maps the id asked for to the id to cite.

| ids* | array | |
| fields | array | Only return these nutrient keys (e.g. ["energy","protein"]). Saves tokens. A group name returns every key under it, each as its own value in its own unit, never added or converted: "vitamin_a" gives vitamin_a.rae (µg) and vitamin_a.iu (IU); "carbohydrate" gives carbohydrate.total (includes fibre), carbohydrate.available (excludes it) and carbohydrate.available_mse. A key that is itself a registry key (e.g. "fat") is just that key. A name that matches nothing comes back missing with the closest keys. |
| regime | string | Add values derivable for this regime (e.g. EU adds salt and available carbohydrate when exact). |

Values that cannot be derived exactly come back null with the reason; derived rows (salt from sodium, kJ from kcal) list derived_from. }Find what free-text food phrases refer to: "2 large eggs scrambled", "1 cup cooked rice", "Clif Bar chocolate chip". Batch up to 50 phrases. Default mode "candidates" returns, per phrase, the parsed amount and ranked candidates, each with its portions (label and grams), the amount in grams when the phrase states it exactly ("150 g", "1 cup", "2 large"), and, if you pass fields, values for that amount (or per 100 g / per serving when no amount is stated), each with its proof rank and source; a field with no value is null with the reason. The first candidate is the selection (selected: true) with an amount; "assumed" lists what the phrase did not say ("item": other close matches exist; "portion": a typical size was taken, other_sizes lists the rest). | facets | boolean | Also count matches by kind, brand, dataset, market and proof rank. Each facet counts what passes every other filter. |
| fields | array | Values to return per row. Defaults to energy, macros and anything filtered or sorted on. A group name ("vitamin_a") returns each of its keys separately; where and sort take one key. |
| market | string | Country code, e.g. US, CA, FR. |
| offset | integer |
| brand_id | string | Exactly this brand (a br_ id). |
| datasets | array | Source datasets, e.g. "Foundation", "SR Legacy", "CIQUAL 2025", "Branded", "NIH DSLD", "Health Canada LNHPD". Facets list them. |
| max_rank | integer | Only rows whose strongest proof is at least this strong (1 strongest). |
